That was all Numen saw as PC. Will try and extract rest from Sol's logs in time, as a lot of relevant stuff for TD especially ref the Black Hand becoming Menarokian.

Ok, I have editted some bits in bold in the first post that I thought very relevant. And added some bits to clarify what was happening at times when Numen was not present. That gives a pretty clear version of the story. If people want to see the actual rp of the three tests I will try and extract that from Sol's log later, let me know if worth the effort. And I will definitely get the final part, where Cora was reunited with her shadow, from the log later.

Ok, tidied up enough to be legible, and one important bit in bold, think this kinda tied in with Barnas' lore on SDs. If not, the dark dreamer could be lying / misinformed.
Anyway, that's all folks, Jessup and the Black Hand are now Menarokian to the core. Any questions let me know...

Players often noticed how characters like Jessup had a lot of power and influence. What they didn't know was that it was merely the tip of the iceberg and he was usually pulling out all stops behind the scenes to hang on to that power. Jessup was always one DM encounter away from having it allllll slip through his fingers and he knew it, so he stayed on his toes and returned the favour by keeping us on our toes.
We tried our best to always involve all players, but when you know that you have carte blanche to potentially utterly ruin someone's character without also completely ruining their fun, it made it muuuuch easier to run stories for them. The more complications we threw at Jessup, the more he rolled with the punches, the more we wanted to throw at him to see if he would break. It had a terrible momentum all its own. Sometimes you're afraid to do things like this because you don't know if the player in question will get crrrrushed under the overbearing weight of the hardships you pile upon them. Chiefy was happy to let us torment him endlessly, so we were happy to oblige! |

| I distinctly remember sweating things out and thinking who i could talk into (sucker) helping me on many an occasion. It helped that so many PC's operated in the Port and the goodies did so many inept things like talk in the open right in front of Jessup's shop or in the broken mask. I would often resort to blackmail with that info. |
