Problems... Posted: 16 Aug 2005 06:14 PM |
I haven't been able to get a steady amount of time in cause of crashes and disconnects. The disconnects aren't that often and usually at night here (9-11PM PST). The crashes have something to do with an ATI driver issue that I'm tryin to figure out. When I turned Vsync off it stopped fer a bit. But it may be overheating. (althugh I'm not sure how...I gots no less than 8 fans in the case in different spots and alot of open space)
Anyway....if you see "Kravos" or "Tyberious Felsparrow" and I'm acting standoffish or in a hurry....I'm either testing something out or in a bad mood from it all...LOL
I promise I'll still RP IG through it all....If I can

| A good place to test things out without having to worry is the OOC players area accessible through the widget - I did that when I was having driver issues with my pc |

Actually, I test offline....but I still get crashes with the atioglxx.dll driver. Was getting it with the ati2mtag. But those were the Omega drivers. I switched and now get this one around 1-2 times and hour of play.
Here's the full error code:
Faulting application nwmain.exe, version 1.6.6.0, faulting module atioglxx.dll, version 6.14.10.5147, fault address 0x000a023c.
Mainly I just wanted to say to not think I was being rude if you see me. And I sometimes look like I'm doing odd things....but I'm really trying to see what sets it off in the video settings. I think it's the vsync was on.

Try disabling the Shiny water option if you have that switched on, from reading a few posts that I found here:

This seems to have worked for quite a few of the folks that posted there |

It seems I am having an "override" problem in world. every ow and then I come across someone with no head, sometimes they are NPC`s other times they are actual characters.
i was informed last night by one such headless person that it was an override issue.
Does anyone know a solution to this? |
Never meddle in the affairs of Dragons for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.
Magick is tha ability to change, manipulate or destroy Reality |
