Re: HakPak Requests Posted: 31 Jul 2003 12:46 AM |
Admins: We should setup a time to go thru the list and identify the ones that are worth more than their weigh in size, and update Vives' hakpak / custom content. Leaving these on and on isn't a solution

Re: HakPak Requests Posted: 02 Aug 2003 11:21 PM |
This is a bump for the topic as it is to be discussed in irc with all players/DM's/Admins etc VERY soon.
So any last minute requests best get them in quick sharpish ;)
We will be adding the ones we go with in one shot, and will be discussing how suitable/how much use we will get out of them as compared to DL size etc.... so any comments then also please feel free to post here too.
Cheers

If I could ask for but one thing, it would be these...
...
well. I can't find them. How annoying...
Nirjin's elf heads. They're so darn cool, and when I last checnked, just 0.62 MG zipped. I'll go on a BIG hunt for a link at some point. |

Scabbards, pouches, backpaks for character models. To make us look more like adventurers! Weighs in at a hefty 0.32 MB. ;-) |

I guess it's about time to put together the haks - when I get back/have time, I'll gather the list here in readily 'clickable' form, and discuss this together in IRC.
The format would likely be:
Scabbards, Pouches, Backpacks (0.32Mb)
Of course, I won't be offended if anyone does it before me |

Re: HakPak Requests Posted: 05 Aug 2003 02:40 PM |
Ok, I looked through a bunch of hakpaks on NW Vault, and I thought these few might be cool as well. I can't vouch for the stability of any of them, or the usefulness, but hey...I'm just an idea man! Also, I hope my HTML comes out right. ;-)
Additional light sources. (0.07 MB)
Torches as weapons! (0.00 MB) - that's the file size on the page...
Tridents (0.08 MB)
<a href="http://nwvault.ign.com/Files/hakpacks/data/1043000129150.shtm"l>Usable beds</a> for all you Rashik worshippers. (0.23)
Hope this is helpful!
P.S. The HTML doesn't look like it's coming out in the preview, but I'm gonna give it a shot and post anyway.. |

Friday seems good to me, I'm usually home by 7 pm EST (as long as my work load isn't horrible), so like 8pm-9pm EST would be the best time for me to start (onwards to 1 AM EST :P)

Re: HakPak Requests Posted: 10 Aug 2003 03:57 AM |
Here's some really really (really!) nice looking weapon components by ShadowHawk... the only downside is they're quite large by our standards.
ShadowHawks' Weapon Components - 4.2Mb.
Some cool legs won't hurt either... this one is quite abit smaller:
Leg Parts - 0.9Mb.
Head-pack that everybody seems to be asking for...
Large Headpak - 9.5Mb.
I haven't looked into the headpacks much - but since no-one seem to have provided a link, that was a starter. |

Checked this one out. As it is, it'd work in small single player mods with limited critters (or rather, individual modification of each critter is required; single player as it has an overly-simple way of handling factions / perceives, leading to both bugs and, as I can see, exploits), but would require significant adaptation to work in Vives in any reasonable form. |

Re: HakPak Requests Posted: 30 Aug 2003 02:41 PM |
I am now working on a new hak for vives containing many of the above links etc...... we are not, however, using any of the larger ones such as head models...... these are roughly a minimum of 8 megs just on their own.
The new hak will come in at under 10 meg, and this will be the last for some time.
Thanks

Heres an interesting looking Hak that Feldin brought to my attention. It adds/changes the no weapon/dual weapon attack animations. From what he said, you can just put it in your override, with out us having to update the module for it. I'm going to check it out for myself when I get a chance.
